The bookshelf

Every book, on one shelf.

Like the paper bookshelf reading cards, only it fills itself in. Each spine shows how far you are through that book, so you can see at a glance where you’ve been and what’s left.

The ScriptureShelf bookshelf screen with example progress in a second Read Through: 34.8% of the Bible read, 14 of 66 books completed, and a New read through button. Genesis, Exodus and Ruth are full with gold bands and ×2 marks for a second reading; Leviticus is partly filled; other books are pale and waiting.

Features

Simple to use. Encouraging to keep using.

The book page for Isaiah with example data: chapters 1 to 41 of 66 marked read, a gold corner on each chapter with a note, and a Notes section below listing four private notes, such as Isaiah 34–37: Hezekiah spreads the letter out before the Lord. I want to pray like that — just lay it all out.
Mark chapters, then keep a note on what stood out. A gold corner shows where you wrote one — with example data.
The statistics screen with example numbers: an achievements card with 24 of 25 badges, chapters read, books completed, a 13-day current streak, days spent reading, testament progress bars and a bar chart of chapters read per day.
Streaks, totals and charts — with example data.
The history screen titled Days you spent in the Word, with a Log past reading button and a year-long calendar heatmap of reading days.
A year of reading days at a glance — and a quick way to log a day you missed.

Read Throughs and badges

Read it again. Mark the milestones.

A fresh shelf for every Read Through

Finished Revelation, or just want a new start in January? Tap New read through on your bookshelf, name it something like “2026 Read Through”, and begin again with an empty shelf.

  • Everything you’ve read before stays in your history and stats.
  • Chapters and books show ×2, ×3… when you’ve read them more than once.
  • Add a finish-by date, or tick “Bible in a year”, and see whether you’re on pace.
The Read Throughs screen: a form to start Read Through 3 with an optional finish-by date and a Bible in a year option, the current Read Through 2 at 414 of 1,189 chapters, and a completed first Read Through at 100%.
Each Read Through keeps its own shelf — with example data.
The Achievements screen with example progress: 7 of 25 badges earned, including Chapters read, A whole book in one day, Gospels, a 30-day Streak, First book finished, First week and First chapter, with badges still ahead such as Halfway, Whole Bible and the Old and New Testaments shown with progress bars.
Earned badges, and how close you are to the next — with example data.

Small markers along the way

Twenty-five badges for the moments worth noticing: your first chapter, your first book, each section of the shelf, the Old and New Testaments, and the whole Bible.

  • Days in the Word, chapters read, streaks and Read Throughs keep levelling up as you go.
  • A few are hidden until you find them. They show as mystery tiles until then.
  • The big ones get a moment of their own, and a card you can share if you like.
A share card for the New Testament badge: a gold-rimmed green badge with a cross, “Earned October 22, 2026”, and the words Your Bible, book by book.
“Well done, good and faithful reader.”

How it works

Three steps. That’s it.

  1. Step 1: Sign in with Google

One tap and you’re in. There’s no separate password to remember.

  2. Step 2: Mark what you read

After your reading, mark the chapters — one at a time, as a range, or a whole book. Add a note if something stood out. Missed a day? Log it later.

  3. Step 3: Watch your shelf fill

Spines fill up, finished books turn gold, badges arrive along the way, and your streaks and history grow with you — with a friend cheering you on, if you like.
